Known issue: French-door ice makers

Some Samsung French-door refrigerators have had reported issues with ice buildup in the ice compartment, frozen ice buckets, water leaking under the crisper drawers, and fan noise. Samsung issued service bulletins covering roughly 60 French-door models in 2015 and 2017. A related class action was dismissed without prejudice in December 2023 after individual settlement offers. If your Samsung fridge has these symptoms, it's a known pattern we can diagnose and repair — we don't offer legal advice on compensation.

Slide-in electric ranges with front-mounted knobs (model prefixes NE58 and NE63, made May 2013–August 2024) were recalled by the CPSC in 2024: knobs can be turned on by accidental contact, posing a fire hazard. Samsung is offering free knob locks and covers.

Is TrueFix an authorized Samsung repair service?

No — TrueFix is an independent repair company and is not affiliated with, authorized, sponsored or endorsed by Samsung. We service Samsung appliances using our own tools, training and parts sourcing.

Will repairing my Samsung appliance myself void the warranty?

If your appliance is still under its original Samsung warranty, check the terms with Samsung directly before any independent repair — using a non-authorized technician can affect manufacturer warranty coverage on some models. Outside that window, an independent repair is the normal path.

Do you carry Samsung parts on the truck?

Our vans stock the parts we see fail most often across the brands we service most, Samsung included. If your repair needs a less common part, we'll tell you during the diagnosis and schedule the return visit as soon as it arrives.
